Ram Mandir Bhumi Poojan: ‘Shubh Muhurat’ will last only 32 SECONDS

Preparations for the Ram Mandir bhoomi poojan in Ayodhya are in full swing. The August 5 ceremony will mark the beginning of the temple’s construction.

PM Narendra Modi is expected to lay the foundation stone (bhumi pujan) for the construction of the Ram Temple.

A report in the Hindustan Times stated that the priests supervising the entire event have said that the muhurat (auspicious moment) will last only for 32 seconds on August 5. This is from 12:44:08 PM until 12:44:40 PM.

The grand event comes amid rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country. However, tight security measures have been taken to avoid flouting of the government’s guidelines during the grand ceremony.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has said that the COVID-19 protocol will be strictly followed during the ceremony and only those invited should come.

Adityanath said it was a “historic and emotional” moment which will lay the “foundation of a new India.”
