Noted Urdu poet Rahat Indori passes away

Renowned Urdu poet Rahat Indori, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, died in Indore on Tuesday.

“He suffered two heart attacks today and could not be saved. He was admitted to hospital on Sunday, after testing positive for #COVID19. He had 60% pneumonia,” Dr Vinod Bhandari, Sri Aurobindo Hospital, said.
The veteran poet was born on January 1, 1950, in Indore.
A well-known figure in the genre of Urdu poetry, he had also penned lyrics for several Bollywood songs.
